DU Admission 2023-2024

Admission Eligibility

For A Unit (ক বিভাগ):

• Applicants must be from the Science Group and have passed SSC/equivalent in 2021 and HSC/equivalent in 2023.
• The minimum GPA requirement is 3.50 in both SSC and HSC/equivalent exams, with a total GPA up to 8.50 (including additional subjects).

For B Unit (খ বিভাগ):

• Applicants from the Humanities Group who have successfully completed SSC/equivalent (in or next year) and HSC/equivalent in 2023 are eligible to apply.
• Minimum GPA requirement is 3.00 in each exam and a total GPA of 8.00 in both exams.

For C Unit (গ বিভাগ):

• Students pursuing Business Studies/A Level/Diploma in Business Studies/Business Management at the Higher Secondary level are eligible to apply.
• • Applicants must have successfully completed SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent in 2023 to be eligible.
• The minimum GPA requirement is 3.5 in both SSC and HSC/equivalent exams, with a total GPA up to 8.00 (including additional subjects).

For D Unit (ঘ বিভাগ):

• Those who have passed SSC/equivalent and HSC (Humanities, Science, Business Education, Agricultural Science) in 2023 are eligible to apply.
• Applications with less than a ‘B’ grade (3.00) in any subject in HSC/equivalent will not be accepted.
• Humanities group students (including Madrasa Education Board) need a minimum GPA of 8.0 in SSC and HSC exams (including 4th subject).
• Business Education, Diploma-in-Business Studies, Diploma-in-Commerce, and Business Management group candidates should have a minimum GPA of 8.0 in both SSC and HSC/equivalent exams (including 4th subject).
• Science, Madrasa Education Board’s Science, Agricultural Science, and Home Economics group students need a minimum GPA of 8.5 in SSC and HSC exams (including 4th subject).

For F Unit (চ বিভাগ):

• SSC/equivalent pass from HSC (Humanities, Science, Business Education, Agricultural Science) in 2023 can apply.
• Candidates who have passed HSC/equivalent in any group must have a minimum GPA of 7.0 in both SSC and HSC/equivalent exams (including the 4th subject) to be eligible.
• Applications will not be accepted if the GPA is less than 3 in either level (SSC or HSC).

DU Admission Form Fill-Up

If you want to apply for DU Honors Admission, follow these easy steps:

• Visit admission.eis.du.ac.bd.
• Click on the login/apply button and provide your HSC roll, passing year, and board, along with your SSC roll. Click submit.
• After submitting, check your details and the eligible application unit. Click confirm.
• Provide your scanned photo, personal mobile number, and other information. Click confirm.
• To confirm your application, send an SMS to 16321.
• After sending the SMS, you’ll receive a 7-digit confirmation code. Enter the code and click confirm.
• You’ll receive a pay slip for payment. Download and print this copy for submission.

Payment Instruction

Upon completion of the Admission Form, candidates are required to settle the Admission Test Fee. This payment can be made immediately or at a later time, but it must be done prior to the specified deadline. Failure to pay the application fees will result in the rejection of the application.

Application Fees can be paid through Mobile Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or any Scheduled Bank. To pay the Application Fees, follow the instructions below.

• Go to the Dashboard.
• Navigate to your Applied unit.
• Click the Payment Button.
• Choose your Payment Option.
• Pay the Admission Test Fee.
• Download the Payment Slip.

DU Admit Card 2024 Download

Upon completion of the online application, Dhaka University will issue the Admit Card. A distinct Admit Card will be generated for each unit, and candidates are required to download a separate Admit Card for each unit they have applied to.

N.B.: The notice for Admit Card Download will be published on the Admission Website. No SMS will be sent to the applicants’ mobile numbers.

After the Dhaka University Admit Card is released, candidates can download it by logging in with their HSC and SSC exam credentials. The Admit Card will include the Admission Test Date and instructions.

Mark Distribution and Question Pattern

Dhaka University’s admission authority has revised the marking system for admissions. They have diminished the significance of MCQ and CGPA marks while assigning greater weight to the written exam. The Dhaka University Admission Test for the academic year 2023–24 will have a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes, comprising both MCQs and written (descriptive) questions. The total marks for the entrance exam will be 100, with 60 marks allocated to the MCQ section and 40 marks to the written test. The MCQ exam will have a duration of 45 minutes, and the written exam will also be 45 minutes long. The admission test will adhere to the syllabus of the Higher Secondary Examination 2023.

Following the admission test for each unit at Dhaka University, the admission results will be disclosed. The outcome is determined by evaluating the scores obtained in the MCQ and written admission tests, in addition to the HSC and SSC results.

According to the Dhaka University Admission Circular 2024, only candidates who successfully pass the MCQ test will undergo an evaluation of their written answer scripts. If a candidate fails the MCQ test, their written answer script will not be considered.
