Chattogram Challengers, Chittagong based franchised has returned in the upcoming BPL, which will be introduced by BPL 2022, The 8th season of the country’s only franchise T20 League, Bangladesh Premier League.
KM Rifatuzzaman, Managing Director of Chattogram Challengers said, BCB has confirmed them about the franchise. He talked with cricket journalists about the confirmation of their upcoming journey.
”Yes, you can say that we are confirmed by the board to take part in BPL. We came here to talk with BCB and they told us that we will be representing our Chattogram Challengers,”
Though the Players draft has not been finalized yet BCB is likely to arrange the tournament from 20th January to 20th February of 2022.
Sheikh Sohel, A member of the BPL governing council confirmed the date earlier. He also said they are alert about the Corona situation. BCB is worried about the new raise of the Corona wave.
This will be the 2nd season of Chattogram Challengers, which was backed by reputed business group, Akhtar Group. They participated in the last BPL, which was known ad Bangabandhu BPL 2019-20.
