Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan signed a deal with the news agency “Betwinner News” last week. It was the talk of the country because the news agency betwinnernews.com was a sister concern of a Cyprus-based betting site betwinner. After a week of clatter, Shakib has announced that he has withdrawn from his deal with betwinnernews.
Rumor said Shakib Al Hasan was on the shortlist for the next T20 Skipper of Bangladesh. And today was the last day of announcing the squad for Asia Cup 2022. But BCB could not take any decision because of Shakib’s deal. This is totally forbidden for BCB & Bangladeshi culture. Not only that, BCB was ready to take a hard decision like abandoning Shakib from Bangladesh Cricket.
Shakib has talked with BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon & promised that he will cancel the deal. But BCB wanted his written letter. So, BCB called a meeting today noon to clear about that. But after about 1 hour, BCB gets a written letter from Shakib that he has canceled the agreement with “Betwinner News”. BCB President confirmed the news and will declare Bangladesh Squad tomorrow. He also confirmed that he will talk with Shakib when he returns, Why he did this type of contract?
