Bangladesh have announced a full-strength 15-member squad for the cricket competition at the 2026 Asian Games, with Litton Das set to lead the side in Japan.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the squad on Wednesday, naming Towhid Hridoy as the vice-captain.
Former captain Najmul Hossain Shanto has returned to the T20I setup, while pacer Hasan Mahmud has also earned a place in the squad.

Litton Das (captain), Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Saif Hassan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy (vice-captain), Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Rishad Hossain, Sheikh Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Mohammad Saifuddin, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Hasan Mahmud.
The squad includes several regular members of Bangladesh’s white-ball setup, highlighting the importance the team is placing on the Asian Games competition.
Young fast bowler Nahid Rana, however, has missed out as he continues his recovery from injury.
Bangladesh will be among the strongest teams in the men’s cricket event, alongside India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The cricket competition at the 2026 Asian Games will be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with the men’s event scheduled to take place from September 24 to October 3.
Bangladesh have a strong history in Asian Games cricket. The Tigers won gold at the 2010 Asian Games and claimed bronze medals in the 2014 and 2022 editions.
With a largely full-strength squad featuring experienced names such as Litton, Mustafizur and Shanto alongside several younger players, Bangladesh will be aiming to challenge for another medal in Japan.
